Assist officials with inspecting fields, courts, etc. for any potential hazards.
Give an effective effort during official's training and player's meetings.
Attend all supervisor meetings and training sessions or at least fid out what is discussed.
Arrive to work on time.
Be in uniform at all times when working.
Assist and cooperate with other campus recreation staff.
Come to work prepared to officiate.
Do not play or workout while on duty.
Set up facility area as instructed.
Settle protests, arguments, problem, etc on-site in an effective positive manner.
Be responsible for issued equipment and keys.
Be knowledgeable of the rules of play for each sport.
Be knowledgeable of the proper officiating mechanics of each sport.
Supervise and assist officials in their daily work schedule.
Evaluate officials in a private, positive, and constructive manner.
Record officials time honestly and accurately with palm pilots.
Properly complete all paperwork related to the daily work schedules.
Return all work-related equipment to the proper place and in proper condition at the end of each shift.
Be courteous and helpful to all participants, officials, staff, and fans.
Be a model participant when playing intramural sports or when using recreational facilities.
Enforce all campus recreation policies and follow all procedures.
Follow the established substitution policy when there is a scheduling conflict.
Ensure the facility is clean before and after play.
Report and/or take care of any facility problems.
Ensure that the games are running on time.
Enforce the ID policy and all eligibility rules and procedures.
Be certified in CPR, First-Aid, and AED.
