Parking Lot Closed for Summer SOAR Orientation Programs

The parking lot in front of the Bryan Fine Arts Building will be closed for the SOAR student orientation programs. These parking lots will be reserved for incoming students and their families. The SOAR dates are as follows:

  • July 17-18, 21-22, 24-25
  • August 18-19

Hooper Elben Center Closed for Construction of New Basketball Office Complex

Construction is set to begin on the new basketball office complex in Tennessee Tech's Hooper Eblen Center, meaning the University will close the facility for use by the public until the project is completed.

The closing will affect the hundreds of people who do their daily walking around the concourse of Eblen Center. The arena will officially close to the public beginning on Monday, June 30, for an extended period of time.

TTU President Pays Special Tribute to TTU Baja Team Sponsor Dr. Dale Wilson

Lake Dale WilsonTTU President Dr. Robert Bell wanted to pay a special tribute to the long-time sponsor of the Baja team and organizer of the 2008 Baja SAE held at TTU, Dr. Dale Wilson. To honor Dr. Wilson, the President proclaimed, somewhat tongue-in-cheek,  that the water site would be known as “Lake Dale Wilson” until the land is reclaimed for its original use.”

Enjoy taking a class for personal or professional growth this summer through Tennessee Tech’s non-credit programs. Courses include a week of art classes for kids and a special section of The Art of Seeing Creatively, a popular photography-related adult class adapted for youth. Take an instructor-facilitated online course or complete a certificate program in healthcare or business.

Motorcycle Rider Education Program Extends From August Through October

The popular Mid Tenn Motorcycle Rider Education Program resumes at Tennessee Tech University this spring, summer and fall. The course requires use of the North Stadium parking lot, so please clear all cars beginning Friday evening from the lot on the following weekends:

Fridays, 6-10 p.m.
Saturdays & Sundays, 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.

22-24
29-31

Sept. 12-14
26-28

Oct. 17-19
