CITL Faculty Excellence Awards
Nominations are now open for the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning Faculty
Excellence Awards. This is your opportunity to recognize a course that stands out
for its engaging content, effective assessments, and innovation in design and layout.
Nominate them for the Faculty Excellence in Course Design Award!
Or maybe you know an educator that excels in the online environment. Whose course
includes innovative technology, engaging online content, and creates an online environment
where students feel challenged and inspired. Nominate them for the Faculty Excellence
in Online Teaching Award. Nominations for both awards close on Friday, March 11th.
You can complete your nomination using the form below. Please note, you can only complete
one nomination per form.

- Faculty Excellence in Course Design
Qualifications for nominees for Faculty Excellence in Course Design:
- Nominees must be faculty members of Tennessee Tech, this includes adjuncts, instructors, lecturers, and tenure-track faculty.
- All course modalities are acceptable (tech-direct, tech-enhanced, tech-flex).
- Course must utilize iLearn.
- Design elements will be based on the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Course Design Rubric.
Recipient shall receive a physical award, presented at the University Awards in the fall, and $1000.
- Faculty Excellence in Online Teaching
Qualifications for the Faculty Excellence in Online Teaching Award:
- Nominees must be full-time faculty members.
- Course modality must be online (Tech-Direct).
- Design elements will be based on the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Course Design Rubric.
- Nominees must demonstrate innovative use of technology and tools in the online environment.
Recipient shall receive a physical award, presented at the University Awards in the fall, and $2000.
