You can either create your quiz questions in MS Word or if you already have them in
a Word format, you can edit the document to quickly import into iLearn. Respondus has it's own Test Bank Network where you can pull questions into Respondus
and push them to your iLearn courses. If you just want to push the questions to the Question Library, do not worry about
the settings. In the publish process you will choose to publish to the Question Library
only. If you setup the quiz in Respondus, you can publish the entire quiz with settings,
make sure to add the settings and dates or it will publish as an active quiz. Once you create the quiz in Respondus, you can publish it to your iLearn course. You
can publish the questions as a quiz or you can just add them to the Question Library. Using Respondus, you can retrieve questions from your iLearn courses. This allows
you to save the file to a Word document. This document can be used for reviewing,
editing, or printing for a person who needs a printed test.

Connect Respondus to iLearn (D2L)
You will need to do this when you first setup the software. You will be prompted to create this connection either when you attempt to Publish a quiz to your course or Retrieve questions from a course. Once you create this connection, you will not have to do this again.
- Select either the Retrieval tab or if you already have a file open, select Preview + Publish, then Publish, then Publish Wizard.
- Choose add new server from the drop-down.
- Choose Yes, check for preconfigured server settings, click Next
- Enter a name to call it (Ex: TN Tech iLearn) and select Next.
- Select the checkbox that says Save my Username and Password on this computer. This will allow you to remain logged in and continue exporting questions from different
quizzes or question library sections without having to log back in. Do not do this
on a shared machine.
The steps above are only done once. After that, you will just select iLearn (or whatever you call this connection) from the Brightspace server list in Respondus.
