Professional Licensure Disclosure
To be qualified for teacher licensure in the state of Tennessee, students must graduate from a college or university and meet all State Board of Education licensure requirements. Students who graduate from Tennessee Tech in one of our licensure programs also meet state licensure requirements. Additional information about teacher licensure in Tennessee is available through the State Board of Education through policy (https://www.tn.gov/sbe/rules--policies-and-guidance/policies.html) and the State Department of Education through guidance (https://www.tn.gov/education/educators/licensing.html).
Tennessee Tech has not determined whether all these programs meet the educational requirements for licensure in other U.S. states or territories. Tennessee Tech recommends that students who plan to seek licensure outside of Tennessee contact the appropriate state or territorial licensing agency to obtain current information about licensure requirements.
