Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness
Consultations & Confidentiality
As required by law and professional codes of ethics, all communication between a counselor and a client is confidential. Once a student becomes a Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness client, we cannot discuss their situation, or even acknowledge the fact that the student presented at the Center without the consent of the student. If you request acknowledgement of a referral, we will request the student's written permission. However, we will be unable to provide such information if the student has denied permission.
The limits of confidentiality do not preclude the staff at the Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness from speaking with you regarding your concerns about a student. Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your concerns and explore possible options.
The Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness professional staff members look forward to working with you to promote the academic success and personal development of all Tennessee Tech University students.
