Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness
Personal Counseling
The professional staff of the TN Tech Center for Counseling and Mental Health Wellness work with students experiencing a wide variety of personal issues and concerns. While we certainly don't limit ourselves to these issues, our well-qualified counselors can help you with difficulties in areas such as:
- adjustment to college life
- relationship problems
- feelings of inadequacy
- anxiety
- depression
- stress management
- loneliness
- suicidal ideation
- resiliency
- coping skills
When a student's concerns require more specialized care or longer-term counseling, a referral off campus is recommended. You may speak with a clinician regarding an off campus referral or go through your insurance provider.
If you would like to take a mental health screening prior to your initial appointment, or at any time, you may find them here: Mental Health Screenings.
If you are already attending counseling services, or have made an appointment, you may find it helpful to bring a copy of the screening report with you to your session.
The screening tool is available to help identify areas of concern such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and alcohol issues.
