Robert A. Seay joined the Tennessee Tech faculty in 2010. Prior to that time, he served many years on the faculty at Murray State University and Middle Tennessee State University. Dr. Seay received a Doctorate in Business Administration from Mississippi State University with a major in accounting and minors in finance and information systems/quantitative analysis. He also has an MBA and an undergraduate degree in accounting from Murray State. Dr. Seay is a licensed CPA in the state of Tennessee.

Dr. Seay holds the rank of full professor and his primary teaching interest is financial statement auditing. He has several years of financial, cost/managerial and auditing teaching experience supported by public accounting and internal auditing experience. His research record includes work in accounting education and topics related to the practice of professional accountancy. Dr. Seay currently serves as the coordinator for the Master of Professional Accountancy program.
