About
Dr. Kash has been at Tennessee Tech since 1963 and taught literature and composition. He currently teaches folklore and is the Speech and Debate Team's forensics director.
He also speaks French and taught literature on a Fulbright Fellowship at the University of Bordeaux in France.
B.A. and M.A. in English from Vanderbilt University
PhD in Folklore from Indiana University
Additional Study: Composition from the University of Wyoming, American Dialects from the University of Chicago, Debate from Claremont-McKenna College, College & the University of Vermont
His research interests include folk music and creative writing (stories and poems). He often performs folk music with his wife Bettye.
