Dr. Perihan Fidan is a lecturer in the Curriculum & Instruction Department at Tennessee Tech University. She teaches student engagement & classroom management, field experience, and applied educational assessment courses. She also specializes in teaching, coaching, and supporting candidates through their edTPA journey.
She has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods. Her research has been presented and published regionally, nationally, and internationally. She is a reviewer for The American Educational Research Association (AERA), The International Academic Forum’s (IAFOR) Journal of Education, and The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences.
Her research interests include pre-service teacher education, educational collaborations between schools and community institutions, STEM education in K-12 grades, mediators of students’ mathematics self-efficacy, multicultural education, and innovative uses of 3D pens in education.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Dr. Fidan enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, indulging in reading, and exploring educational technologies.
