About
Kimberly Winkle holds a BFA in Ceramics from the University of Oklahoma and an MFA in Furniture Design from San Diego State University. Her workshop teaching experience includes, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Penland School of Crafts, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Anderson Ranch Art Center, The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, John C. Campbell Folk School, Peters Valley School of Craft, Port Townsend School of Woodworking, and the Appalachian Center for Craft.
Color, form and line are prominent features of Kimberly Winkle’s work. Working with traditional furniture making techniques, she creates furniture and objects that are imbued with personality through exaggerated proportion, vivid color and exuberant mark making.
