Eleni Fragopoulos brings over four decades of experience in the world of theatre to her role as an adjunct faculty member at Tennessee Technological University, where she has taught for the past 12 years. Eleni holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Arts in Education focusing on Curriculum and Instruction from Tennessee Technological University. She is also completing her second Master of Arts in Theatre Education from the University of Northern Colorado, set to be finished by December 2024. She has had the pleasure of working with various professionals in the field, including actors at UNCO, who have been seen in recent hits such as Hit Man.
A dedicated educator and accomplished theatre professional, Eleni has co-authored a university-level textbook for Introduction to Theatre classes, demonstrating her commitment to advancing theatre education. Her extensive experience includes directing and performing in a wide range of productions, from musicals and Shakespeare plays to dramatic and comedic works. She has taught subjects such as theatre history, acting, directing, and all aspects of technical theatre, including lighting/sound design, props/set design and building, costume design, and multiple marketing strategies. She continues to add to this list of subjects as the opportunity, need, or desire arises in her students. 
Eleni continues to actively engage in the theatre community, always seeking new experiences and knowledge to enrich her teaching and inspire her students. She has performed at the Backdoor Playhouse off and on for the last 28 years while also performing and creating relationships with community theatres and professional ones alike. Her greatest inspiration comes from fostering a love for theatre in her students, guiding them from mere appreciation for those in other areas of study to pursuing professional careers in the field of theatre for those who would like more.
