Dr. Ambareen Siraj wins Diversity Award
Congratulations Dr. Ambareen Siraj on being selected by the ABET Board of Delegates to receive the 2020 Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity and Inclusion
The Felbinger award recognizes U.S.-based educational units, individuals, associations, and firms for their extraordinary success in achieving diversity in the technological segments of society. Siraj was honored for her leadership in establishing the Women in CyberSecurity annual conference and Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) initiative. WiCyS was founded by Siraj at Tennessee Tech in 2014 through a grant by the NSF. The organization seeks to bring together women from academia, research and industry to share knowledge and experience, and provide networking and mentoring for women in this field of study and work. Over the past six years, it has grown into an alliance among academia, government and industry.
