Undergraduate Program
At Tennessee Tech, our Civil and Environmental Engineering program focuses on construction materials, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, structural mechanics, transportation engineering and water resources.
Students may elect to pursue the core curriculum for the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and choose one of three concentrations. In addition, the program offers two minors. By the time students graduate, they are well prepared to take the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) administered by the Tennessee State Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners.
You’ll receive personal attention from our highly qualified faculty members who are dedicated to putting students first. You’ll learn not only to design products and solutions, but also be fully immersed in hands-on learning while you're here.

Fast Track
The Fast Track program is designed to enable Tennessee Tech University undergraduates to accumulate up to six (6) hours of graduate coursework during the student’s junior/senior year which can be used to satisfy both undergraduate and graduate degree requirements. Fast Track students receiving their bachelor’s degrees at the end of the Spring semester will be expected to complete the Master of Science degree by the end of the Summer term of the following year, completing both degrees in a five-year period.
