Saxophone concert with Adam Estes set for Nov. 6

COOKEVILLE, Tennessee (Oct. 16, 2019) – Saxophonist Adam Estes will be performing the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Wattenbarger Auditorium.

Estes is assistant professor of woodwinds at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, where he teaches saxophone, bassoon, woodwinds methods courses, and coaches the woodwind chamber ensembles. He holds graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor's degree in music education from Tarleton State University.

Estes has been the principal bassoonist with the Western Plains Opera Company, the Minot Symphony Orchestra, and has been a regular substitute bassoonist and saxophonist with the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, South Carolina Philharmonic, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and Augusta Symphony Orchestra. He is also a founding member of the Assembly Quartet. He maintains an active performance schedule as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. His performing career has taken him to venues in Scotland, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Belgium.

Wattenbarger Auditorium is located in the Bryan Fine Arts Building, 1150 N. Dixie Ave.
