Best known for his work with Earth, Wind and Fire, Mayo is working with Brazilian legend Sergio Mendes and is a member of the house band on Dancing with the Stars. He has also performed on the TV shows, The Voice, American Idol, and The Tonight Show.
He has also worked with Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen, John Legend, Queen Latifah and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, among many others.
Mayo last gave a concert at Tennessee Tech in 2014.
The concert at Tennessee Tech begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Bryan Fine Arts Building s Wattenbarger Auditorium, 1150 N. Dixie Ave.
It is sponsored by the Center Stage series, which is made possible by Tennessee Tech s general education fund. It is free and open to the public.
