Student Ambassadors
College of Agriculture & Human Ecology
The first group of Agriculture and Human Ecology Ambassadors was formed in the 1996-97 academic year, under Dean Don Elkins. Those eight original Ambassadors all graduated from Tennessee Tech’s College of Agriculture and Human Ecology paved the way for nine years of enhanced visibility, excellent recruitment and improved campus image. Following a brief hiatus, a new group of Ambassadors was selected to begin serving the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology and campus community in the Fall of 2014. While much has changed on our campus and in our society since 1996, the mission of the Agriculture and Human Ecology Ambassadors remains much the same...
“The mission of the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology Student Ambassadors is to promote Tennessee Tech University and the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology through positive professional interactions, active recruitment, and volunteer activities. Ambassadors should be willing and ready to serve and should be ready to carry the responsibility of constant representation, both in and out of the classroom. Through the embodiment of service and dedication, ambassadors help make Tennessee Tech not only a successful learning environment, but also an enjoyable stepping stone toward the professional world.”
