Best Posters at Research and Creative Inquiry Day
We’re excited to share with you our two winners from the 19th annual Research and Creative Inquiry Day. This event gives any student from any department across campus the opportunity to show their research while being judged for their ability to display that data imaginatively, thoughtfully, and effectively on posters.
PhD student Sahar Salimi, advised by Dr. Mostafa Rahmana, was judged as having Biology’s best graduate student poster for her research and display of Characterization and Organization of Telomeric-Linked Helicase (TLH) Gene 2 Families in Fusarium oxysporum.
In the undergraduate Biology category, the best poster award went to Kaitlyn Darnell, advised by Dr. Joshua Hall, for her project A Novel Application of Membrane Inlet Mass Spectrometry to Study Larval Physiology of the Streamside Salamander (Ambystoma barbouri).
Congratulations to both of you, and a huge thank you to all our students who participated!
