Fraternity & Sorority Life Life

College Panhellenic (CPH)

Tennessee Tech College Panhellenic serves as the collegiate governing body for the five (5) international sororities and more than 500 female Greek students on campus. Seven (7) executive officers and two (2) delegates from each chapter work together to make up the Panhellenic Council. The purpose of the Council is to unite all sorority women together to focus on common goals and values.

How to Join a Panhellenic sorority

Experience the sisterhood and tradition of Fraternity & Sorority Life at Tennessee Tech through Panhellenic Formal Recruitment. This exciting event occurs from August 26th to August 31st in the Panhellenic Suites on campus. Here's a glimpse of what the process looks like:

  • Panhellenic 101 (August 25th) The journey begins with an orientation session where potential new members (PNMs) gather to learn about the recruitment process, meet their recruitment counselors, and get an overview of the sororities participating in the formal recruitment.
  • Day 1 & 2: Sisterhood & Values (August 26th-27th) During these days, PNMs visit each sorority in the Panhellenic Suites. This is a casual round where you’ll have the chance to meet and converse with current members, learning about their values and what makes each chapter unique.
  • Day 3 & 4: Philanthropy (August 28th-29th) This round focuses on the philanthropic efforts and community service projects of each sorority. PNMs will visit several chapters and participate in activities highlighting the sororities’ commitment to giving back. This round helps you understand the causes each chapter supports and their impact on the community.
  • Day 5: Preference Night (August 30th) The final night is the most intimate, as PNMs visit potentially up to two chapters to make their final choices. This more formal round provides a glimpse into the deeper aspects of each sorority's rituals and values. It’s a time for heartfelt conversations that can help you make your final decision.
  • Day 6: Bid Day (August 31st) After a week of engaging and discovering, Bid Day is the culmination of the recruitment process. PNMs receive their bids and join their new sorority sisters on a day full of celebration and welcoming activities, marking the start of their Fraternity & Sorority life journey at Tennessee Tech.

Embark on this exciting experience to find your home away from home, create lifelong friendships, and become a part of the proud tradition of the Panhellenic Sisterhood at Tennessee Tech.
