College of Engineering ranked among top two engineering programs for Tennessee public universities by U.S. News and World Report
The College of Engineering at Tennessee Tech has been ranked among the top two public universities in Tennessee with engineering colleges offering doctoral programs as a Best Undergraduate Engineering Program in the U.S. News and World Report annual rankings for 2025.
The college’s Department of Computer science also climbed 56 spots to be named among the top three computer science program in the state, and the top two among public universities.
Tennessee Tech has been ranked a top national university overall for a consecutive 10 years. Tech was additionally named to U.S. News’ list of top public universities, “A+ schools for B students.” As with last year, U.S. News’ 2025 rankings show that Tech graduates have the lowest median debt of all public university graduates in Tennessee.
