Pre-College Programs
Tech's College of Engineering outreach programs offer a wide variety of interesting and challenging programs for students of all ages. Courses are designed to challenge youth to become critical-thinking problem solvers, appreciate STEM, and explore the engineering design process. Our Outreach team continues to develop and offer unique opportunities for students to have fun while solving the technological challenges.
- Explorations in Engineering and Computing Camp (EEC)
A one-week-long Engineering and Computing summer camp for rising 12th-grade students hosted at Tennessee Tech University, the state's only four-year technological university. During this camp, students will get to experience and engage in hands-on projects related to the top engineering and computing fields, taught by our engaging faculty members.
- FIRST LEGO League (FLL)
The FIRST LEGO League (also known by the acronym FLL) is an international competition for elementary and middle school students (ages 9-14 in the USA and Canada, 9-16 elsewhere), arranged by the FIRST organization.
- Governor's School for Emerging Technologies (GSET)
The Governor’s School for Emerging Technologies is designed to stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through study of current topics in biotechnology, nanotechnology, information technology, and other emerging technologies.
