Assistantships & Research

Financial support through the University is typically administered through the department or one of the Centers of Excellence. Due to limited availability of funds, assistantships are granted on a competitive basis. Two types of assistantships are available:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering

  • Teaching Assistant (TA)
  • Candidates must demonstrate individual ability to support the instructional goals of the department.

The Center for Electric Power or the Manufacturing Center

  • Research Assistant (RA)
  • Candidates must establish a working relationship with faculty to support the research activities funded through the center.
