Cement-Based Materials Laboratory equipment

The Cement-Based Materials research lab focuses on the both the durability and early age properties of cementitious systems. In conjunction with other labs on campus, we have the capabilities to perform a full range of analytical techniques from the nano- to macro-scale.

  • Chemical analysis
  • Long-term durability testing – ASR/ACR, sulfate attack, DEF, corrosion, freeze-thaw, salt scaling, RCPT, SR

  • ASTM C 666 freeze-thaw chamber
  • ASTM C 191 automated Vicat
  • Environmental chambers
  • Assorted ovens
  • Assorted mixers
  • Muffle furnace
  • Corrosion testing equipment

Ancillary Equipment:

  • ESEM
  • XRD
  • TGA
  • DSC
  • Isothermal calorimetry
