Cement-Based Materials Laboratory
The Cement-Based Materials research lab focuses on the both the durability and early age properties of cementitious systems. In conjunction with other labs on campus, we have the capabilities to perform a full range of analytical techniques from the nano- to macro-scale.
Key Capabilities:
- Chemical analysis
- Long-term durability testing – ASR/ACR, sulfate attack, DEF, corrosion, freeze-thaw, salt scaling, RCPT, SR
Key Equipment:
- ASTM C 666 freeze-thaw chamber
- ASTM C 191 automated Vicat
- Environmental chambers
- Assorted ovens
- Assorted mixers
- Muffle furnace
- Corrosion testing equipment
Ancillary Equipment:
