Join us for AI Week from April 7–10! Explore the latest in artificial intelligence with interactive booths, research showcases, an AI-themed movie night, and an exclusive guest speaker.

  • Monday, April 7: AI Carnival on the LSC Lawn 11AM – 1PM
    Interactive student booths showcasing how to use AI and highlighting campus clubs focused on artificial intelligence. Enjoy engaging discussions, live demos, and free snacks and drinks!
  • Tuesday, April 8: AI Research Posters in the RUC Lobby 11AM – 1PM
    Explore student and faculty posters highlighting their latest AI research and projects. Register to display your AI related research poster here.
  • Wednesday, April 9: AI Movie Night in the AIEB Atrium 5PM
    Join us for a screening of “WarGames”, free snacks, popcorn, and drinks provided. Don’t miss this classic AI thriller!
  • Thursday, April 10: AI Guest Speaker Jie Ying Wu, Ph.D. in SLH 113 11AM
    Join us for a talk by Dr. Jie Ying Wu, Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University, on “Machine Learning, Medicine, and Robotics”. Don’t miss this exciting insight into AI’s impact on healthcare and technology!

The Machine Intelligence and Data Science (MInDS) Center coordinates artificial intelligence and data science research and education efforts across Tennessee Tech University. The center brings together faculty and researchers from diverse backgrounds to create and support cross-cutting research and educational opportunities across a wide variety of applications and research.

Current AI-related graduate education and research spans many departments on campus and includes work in following areas:

  • Applied AI (e.g., cybersecurity, healthcare, and environmental studies)
  • Machine Learning
  • Robotics
  • Trustworthy/Explainable AI
