What We Do
Each Monday evening starting at 6:30, we will begin with a class to study technique of your chosen instrument with a small group of like instruments. This class will dive into the individual instruments, their specific techniques, learning styles, scales, and tunes! You will get individualized instruction from our teachers while also being able to learn from others in your class.
After a short break, all classes will come together at 7:30 for an hour and play together as a beginner orchestra, learning classical and traditional repertoire for string orchestra (with a couple of more non-traditional tunes thrown in for good measure). This class is taught by String Project director, Mia Hagarty.
Concerts
At the end of the semester, we will be able to show off what we have learned at the String Project concert in May on the stage in the Bryan Fine Arts building!
