2024 Clarinet Congress
Join us on Saturday, April 6, 2024, for Tennessee Tech’s first Clarinet Congress featuring Richard Hawkins, Professor
of Clarinet at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Mouthpiece Craftsperson, as our
guest artist. The day will include high school and college masterclasses with Richard
Hawkins, a warmup class with our host, Dr. Mark J. Cramer, a clarinet choir reading
session, a quick repair class by Alex Singleton, and a recital featuring our guest
artist and the TN Tech Clarinet Studio. Participating vendors include Giant Steps
Music Corporation, Backun Musical Services, Rovner Products, Vandoren, Légère Reeds,
LTD., D’Addario, and more.
The event will be hosted in the Bryan Fine Arts Building at Tennessee Tech University. The registration fee is $20 and paid in person when you first arrive.
