Graduate Education Appreciation Week
April 7 - 11, 2025
April 7-11 is Graduate Education Appreciation Week in our nation. This is an annual event to celebrate and emphasize the contribution, impact, and value of our graduate students. The College of Graduate Studies invites our graduate students to attend three special events that we have scheduled for you:
Tuesday, April 8 - 11:30-12:30, Pizza by Papa John's
Wednesday April 9 1:30-3:30, Popcorn and Cupcakes (homemade)
Thursday April 10 8:30-9:30, Coffee and Donuts with the Dean (Starbucks coffee & Ralph's
Donuts)
The location is the foyer in Derryberry Hall.

Staff from the College of Graduate Studies will be showcasing our online and on-campus graduate degree programs in the areas of health and wellness. Find out what's new in graduate certificates and programs. Learn about admissions requirements and the application process. Ample time will be given to ask questions about our programs and application process.
New students starting classes on campus in the summer or fall are encouraged to attend our on-campus student orientation. Orientation includes a small "services fair" which allows students to meet representatives from various service and support areas including The Writing Center, Food Services, Library, Career Development, Health Services, and Parking. After the services fair, students will be provided with an overview of the university, graduate policies, and other important topics to ensure student success. A reception and time to meet other new students follows our program. Mark your calendar now for August 14 starting at 5:00 PM and ending at 7:30 PM.
We now offer our online students an informative orientation program that you can attend from a distance! You may access orientation in the semester prior to your admission date, for instance a fall admission will be able to access orientation mid-spring semester.
