- All checkouts, due date reminders, overdue and lost reminders, and return confirmation emails are sent to your TNTECH email.
- There is no limit to the number of items you may borrow.
- Once an employee or student leaves the university, they may become a community borrower. However, they cannot get a community borrower account until their employee/student library account is clear of all checkouts and fines.
- » Community Borrowers
- Anyone with a current, valid, government-issued ID can get a Community Borrower account.
- Community Borrowers MUST have a valid, active email account. Checkout and due date confirmations, overdue notices, and return confirmations are sent via email and are your way to track items you've borrowed.
- Renewing items may be possible, but you must bring the items and inquire at the Front Desk in person. We will not renew items automatically or over the phone.
- To return items you are not interested in renewing, you must bring all items to the Front Desk or deposit them in the 24/7 book drop (outside the front doors on the brick wall to the left) by or before the due date.
- You may only have 45 borrowed items at any given time.
- You may not borrow items if you have any overdue items on your account or any unpaid fines/fees.
- If your items are overdue for 10+ days, they are considered lost. The lost fee is $100 per item, or you can purchase a replacement.
- If you have unpaid fines/fees on your community borrower account for more than 60 days, your balance will be sent to a collection agency for payment.
- The second time your account is sent to a collection agency for payment, your community borrower privileges will be suspended for four years.
