Biology is the study of living organisms at all levels, ranging from investigations into molecular structure and processes to studies of complex interactions among different organisms. A biology degree provides students with general courses needed to understand the basic concepts and principles on which these disciplines are based, as well as advanced coursework in a wide variety of these disciplines. A concentration in Microbiology not only provides students with an in-depth study of microbiology, but also provides an understanding of microbiology disciplines and opportunities to study specializations such as parasitology, immunology, protozoology, and more.
