The Specialist in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Curriculum, available in an online or hybrid format, offers a broad range of professional opportunities in the education field in addition to the study of curriculum development, curriculum evaluation, and educational policies. The department provides students access to cutting-edge technologies, active research, and a dedicated, accessible faculty focused on the success and positive impact of these future professionals. There are licensure and non-licensure options available.
Admissions Requirements
Students seeking admission to the Curriculum and Instruction Specialist in Education program (licensure, non-licensure, and post-baccalaureate) are required to have:

- GPA: at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in a graduate-level degree program from an accredited institution
- References: contact information for three references (name and email)
Requirements for Provisional Standing:

- Provisional standing may be requested by departmental evaluation when the graduate GPA is lower than 3.0. Teacher licensure standards may require a separate minimum GPA for licensure.
- To advance from provisional to full admission, a student must earn a minimum 3.0 GPA on the first nine (9) hours of graduate study.
