The online Specialist in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Educational Technology emphasizes a practical approach to implementation of innovative technologies into K-12 classrooms. In addition to the technology-focused curriculum, this program has a strong core research component. The program also offers an embedded certificate in Online Teaching and Design and an optional certificate in Computer Science Education.
Admissions Requirements
Students seeking admission to the Curriculum and Instruction Specialist in Education program (licensure, non-licensure, and post-baccalaureate) are required to have:

- GPA: at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in a graduate-level degree program from an accredited institution

Requirements for Provisional Standing:

- Provisional standing may be requested by departmental evaluation when the graduate GPA is lower than 3.0. Teacher licensure standards may require a separate minimum GPA for licensure.
- To advance from provisional to full admission, a student must earn a minimum 3.0 GPA on the first nine (9) hours of graduate study.
