The Applied Mathematics concentration emphasizes courses needed by students who plan to work alongside scientists and engineers in industry. It is recommended that the student minor in computer science as a complement to this track. The Department of Mathematics offers a well-balanced curriculum that can prepare students for immediate entry into the workforce or for further study at the graduate level. The curriculum provides students with a solid foundation in mathematics while offering flexibility in course selection. Students can prepare for many different careers in business, industry, education, and government.
