Degree Details

The Multidisciplinary Studies degree program with a concentration in Middle School Math, grades 6-8, prepares students to enter the teaching profession and other related careers. The middle school education curriculum is designed to provide the necessary foundation of teaching skills, coupled with the broad knowledge of mathematics, as well as content in reading/writing, science, and history.  Students in licensure programs also engage in extensive clinical experiences in public schools for hands-on training, professional collaboration, and classroom management. The degree allows our graduates to excel in leadership, teaching, and service roles in public schools and other educational agencies. This program is nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
