Degree Details

Majoring in Secondary Education with a concentration in French (6-12) prepares future educators to share a new language with their students. The curriculum provides graduates with core teaching skills, the use of instructional technology, and in-depth content knowledge in the French language and culture.

Students in licensure programs also engage in extensive clinical experiences in public schools for hands-on training, professional collaboration, and classroom management. The love of learning, the desire to help others realize their full potential, and the responsibility of preparing students to enter college or the workforce are often motivators for those who teach at the secondary level.
