Degree Details

Majoring in Secondary Education with a concentration in German (6-12) prepares students to introduce their future students to a new language and culture. The curriculum is designed to provide graduates with core teaching skills, the use of instructional technology, coupled with in-depth content knowledge in the German language.

Students in licensure programs engage in extensive clinical experiences in public schools for hands-on training, professional collaboration, and classroom management. The love of learning, the desire to help others realize their full potential, and the responsibility of preparing students to enter college or the workforce are often motivators for those who teach at the secondary level.

Our college offers a wealth of educational resources, including the VISION Virtual Learning Lab and the Jeffers Learning Resources Center.
