Degree Details

Wildlife and fisheries science is the study of animal populations and the applied use of ecological principles to manage these populations. A concentration in fisheries science focuses on studying and learning to manage aquatic ecosystems where fishes reside and may be recreationally and commercially harvested. Students will learn about the general biology of most species of fishes and other aquatic organisms and how that information impacts decision-making that governs aquatic resource management.
