story thumb

The program features solo works by Russian composers and the American master of popular music, George Gershwin.

TTU trumpet professor Charles Decker and the award-winning Tennessee Tech trumpet ensemble will join Bergman to perform music by composers Verdi and LoPresti.

It is a pleasure to have this world-class performer appear at Tennessee Tech, said Decker. Audiences will enjoy the variety of music and the brilliance of trumpet ensemble music to make it a memorable evening.

Bergman has performed throughout the U.S., Europe and South America. He is principal trumpet of the Mobile Symphony Orchestra and Mobile Opera in Mobile, Alabama.

The concert is free and open to the public and continues the yearlong Tennessee Tech Trumpet Festival concert series featuring solo and ensemble performances by students, faculty, and guest artists.

It will be in Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Bryan Fine Arts Building, 1150 N. Dixie Ave., on the Tennessee Tech campus.
