Web & Digital Media Part-Time Web Content Coordinator Position
The Office of Communications & Marketing’s Web & Digital Media team is seeking to hire a temporary part-time web content coordinator to assist with organizing, managing, and reviewing content on our main website and assist with our internal email newsletter. The position will help support the university’s primary website, assist with quality assurance, and help create a streamlined and impactful website experience. This position will report to the assistant director of Web & Digital Media. All equipment is provided for. Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Work hours: In-person, 29 hours per week
Pay: Compensation range is $15 to $25 per hour and is based on experience
Essential Functions

Assist with building Tennessee Tech’s campus-wide internal email, Tech Times

Assists, advises, and guides campus website editors in the optimization of their website content and supports the assistant director of Web & Digital Media in website maintenance and editing in order to address common website issues

Coordinate incoming support requests and other submissions from campus partners

Assists the assistant director of Web & Digital Media with site reviews, identifying web content that needs optimization by our team and conducting maintenance on those pages as needed

Assist with the university’s primary web calendar by reviewing and processing submissions

Qualifications
Minimum
-

At least one (1) year of experience in a relevant industry

Experience working on various digital content formats, such as web content management systems, image formatting and content writing

Must be tech-savvy and comfortable learning new platforms, and have a desire to gain experience working with a large website

Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a diverse and collaborative environment

Working knowledge of various office software, such as the Microsoft Office suite and task management software

Ability to work independently and collaboratively, make decisions and balance multiple deadlines with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Excellent planning, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
