Housing Rates ›

The housing rates for residence halls and Tech Village apartments changes from semester to semester, so be sure to check the rates for terms you’re applying for! Rates will depend on things such as term, type of room, type of apartment, and other factors. If you have any questions regarding housing rates, we’re happy to help! *Generally, housing rates are approved each spring before the summer or fall terms start.

Spring 2025 ›

Applications for spring housing will be made available on the application portal each October 1st before the upcoming spring term. If October 1st falls on a weekend, the application will go live the following Monday. Spring 2025 applications will go live on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at noon (CST).

Summer 2025 ›

Our summer school residence hall is typically in MS Cooper/Pinkerton and is subject to change at any time if needed. Applications for summer housing will be made available via the application portal at noon on Monday, March 3, 2025 for the upcoming summer term(s).

*If you live on campus for Summer 2025 and want to live on campus for Fall 2025 as well, a separate Fall 2025 application is needed, assuming eligibility and availability.

APPLY FOR SUMMER 2025 HOUSING

 

Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 ›

Applications (to new students) for fall housing will be made available on the application portal each October 1st before the upcoming spring term. If October 1st falls on a weekend, the application will go live the following Monday. Fall 2025 applications will go live on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at noon (CST).

*Winter Break Note:  Residents that may need Interim housing during the winter break between Fall and Spring semesters will need to be assigned a room in MS Cooper/Pinkerton, New Hall North, or New Hall South for Fall 2025 as these halls house residents for the break.  Residents still have to be approved to stay during this break and extra fees apply.

New First-Time Freshmen Students for Fall 2025: 

  • Housing is guaranteed up to May 1, 2025.
  • $200 prepayment is due at time of application.
  • On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, students will be emailed timeslots for room selection.
  • Roommate portal on the hall application closes Sunday, April 11, 2025.
  • Room selection begins Wednesday April 16, 2025, depending on the timeslot.
  • Those who have not selected rooms will be assigned by University Housing.
  • Assignment emails will be sent out by Friday, May 16, 2025.
  • Applications are one-year (fall/spring) applications.

All Non Current Resident Applicants for Fall 2025 (New Transfers, those living off campus, etc.):

  • Once you submit your application, you will be placed on a housing waiting list (housing is not guaranteed) until we determine how many beds we will have available for Fall.
  • We anticipate that we will know the number of available spaces by Monday, March 3, 2025, and we will notify you of your status at that time (receiving timeslots or remain on waiting list).
  • Unfortunately, due to limited spaces, we cannot accommodate roommate choice.
  • For those who receive timeslots, you will be notified of your time slot on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
  • For those with timeslots, room selection will begin week of Monday, April 21, 2025, depending on the timeslot.
  • Once a room is selected, you will pay your $200 prepayment.
  • For those who do not choose a room and/or pay the prepayment will forfeit housing and housing will be offered to the next student on the waiting list.
  • There will be a limited time to select a room/make prepayment.
  • Assignment emails will be sent out by Friday, May 16, 2025.
  • Applications are one-year (fall/spring) applications.

Current Residents Living On-Campus Spring 2025 Wanting to Come Back for Fall 2025:

  • More information (during Spring 2025) will be sent to you on the process for applying.
  • Room/apartment selection will depend on the number of beds released (housing is not guaranteed) to the residents.
  • Applications open Monday, February 3, 2025 for halls and January 16, 2025 for Tech Village apartments. A returning resident can complete both.
  • Hall Applications:
    1. We will notify you of your status (receive a timeslot or remain on the waiting list) on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
    2. Roommate portal closes Friday, March 7, 2025.
    3. For those with timeslots, room selection will begin Wednesday March 12, 2025, depending on the timeslot.
    4. Once a room is selected, you will pay your $200 prepayment.
    5. For those who do not choose a room and/or pay the prepayment will forfeit housing and housing will be offered to the next student on the waiting list.
    6. There will be a limited time to select a room/make prepayment.
    7. Assignment emails will be sent out by Friday, May 16, 2025.
    8. Applications are one-year (fall/spring) applications.
  • Tech Village Apartment Applications:
    1. Those in Tech Village already living there will have a limited priority period over those who are applying from the halls.
    2. You will be notified by the Assignment Specialist if you get an offer, once you apply.
    3. If you accept the offer, you will pay the $200 prepayment.
    4. Those who do not pay the prepayment will forfeit housing and housing will be offered to the next student on the waiting list.
    5. There will be a limited time to make prepayment.
    6. Assignment emails will be sent as needed.
    7. Applications are one-year (fall/spring) applications.

Tennessee Tech and University Housing has partnered with an off-campus housing consultant.  Dawn Crabtree has been contracted by the University to provide consulting services for students seeking of-campus housing with a focus on helping students find options in the Cookeville area that fit students' budgets and preferences.

Interim Housing over Breaks ›

Interim Housing is designed for students in the residence halls that need housing between terms, such as needing housing between fall and spring semesters, or spring to summer, etc.  This is not a regular housing application.  It is a supplement to the original application and has a separate charge.

Fall to Spring

This application is for students needing housing between the end of fall semester and start of spring semester.  The application for Fall to Spring is usually posted around November 1 each year.  More information and rates are found within the application.

This application is for students needing housing between the end of summer and the start of fall semester. The application is usually posted in mid-July each year. More information and rates are found within the application.

 

Disability Housing Requests ›

Do you have a physical disability or condition warranting special consideration in making your assignment?  If so, students requesting disability housing accommodations must register with The Accessible Education Center before housing accommodations may be provided. 

You must submit or complete the following information:

  1. Complete a housing application and submit $200 prepayment during the application.
  2. Complete any necessary paperwork and/or procedures that The Accessible Education Center requires of you.

Immunization Requirements

IMPORTANT: It is state law that all new incoming students living on campus who are under 22 years of age are required to produce proof of adequate immunization against Meningococcal Disease (Meningitis) on or after your 16th birthday.

You must submit this proof to the Health Services office. Please do not send any such records directly to the Residential Life office.

Students who have not provided their meningitis documentation to Health Services will not be allowed to check into campus housing. If you have any questions, please contact Health Services.
