Transportation, Parking, and Infrastructure (TPI) Fee Student Survey
The SGA voted to hold a student survey open to all current Tennessee Tech students regarding a proposal to restructure parking permit fees into a universal fee paid by all students. An advantage to restructuring these fees is the ability to support the construction of multiple parking garages on Tech’s campus. A “yes” vote on the proposed TPI fee means we could see construction on new parking garages beginning in less than a year – early 2025. The Transportation, Parking, and Infrastructure (TPI) Fee Student Survey will open on Monday, February 22th and close on Thursday, March 7th. Questions regarding the implementation of the TPI fee should be directed to auxservices@tntech.edu. Any inquiries related to the holding of the student survey should be directed to sga@tntech.edu.
The Transportation, Parking, and Infrastructure (TPI) Fee Student Survey has now closed. With 32% of respondents in favor and 68% not in favor of the proposed fee restructure, the proposal detailed in the survey will not be implemented for the next term. Thank you for voicing your opinion in this poll, and we hope to use your input and to inform future parking proposals.
