The Alumni Association
The Tennessee Tech Alumni Association is comprised of all graduates and former attendees of Tennessee Tech and exists to organize alumni in the common goals of promoting the mission of Tennessee Tech and advancing and protecting the University as an institution of higher education. The Alumni Association Board helps to foster the relationship between the University and its alumni. They endeavor to move the Alumni Association forward in the spirit of fellowship, loyalty and pride among alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students of Tech.
What is expected of a Tennessee Tech Alumni Association board member?
Advise on and approve all Association activities
Participate in no fewer than two (2) of the four (4) quarterly meetings each fiscal year
Select Alumni Award winners prior to the close of each calendar year
Oversee and approve use of the Association's budget
Select scholarship recipients, in coordination with the University’s Scholarship Coordinator, of any and all Association distributed scholarships
Fill any vacancy that occurs on the Board
Provide a monetary gift of no less than $100 to the Crawford Alumni Center each year of service
Plan a minimum of four (4) events per fiscal year for alumni in target markets suggested by the Crawford Alumni Center staff
Attend and serve at 50% of the Association's events, including the annual Alumni Association Awards Banquet
Perform duties requested by the Executive Director
