Internships
Internships help provide networking opportunities that may lead to future jobs. Many Tennessee Tech students have found leads to permanent jobs through their internships.
Students can complete their internships at a variety of businesses in the Middle Tennessee area. The internships are usually three credit hours, but up to nine credit hours can be received. Internships can be completed in the spring, summer, or fall, depending on students' schedules. During a regular semester, internships require about 15 hours of work per week. Students may choose from locations such as the following:

- Habitat for Humanity (Putnam and Cumberland Counties)
- The Herald Citizen, in Cookeville
- The Small Business Development Center (Cookeville)
- Historic Rugby (Rugby)
- MMA Creative (Cookeville and Nashville)
- MMA Creative, in Cookeville
- Operation Stand Down Tennessee (Nashville)
- Putnam County Habitat for Humanity in Cookeville
- Research Electronics International, in Cookeville
- Student Records and Registration at Tennessee Tech
- Television stations in Nashville or Knoxville

Students may choose other jobs that complement their skills and career goals, as well. Students are normally not paid for their internship work so that they may receive college credit, but many internships can lead to full-time job opportunities.
