In this session, Lauren and Kelvin discussed the different technology tools available to help you implement group work effectively in your courses. They looked at group collaboration using Office 365 and other technology tools. As well as how to best use OneDrive, Online Doc sharing, Yammer, Kaizala, and other platforms when working within groups, as well as for your course as a whole.
Poll Everywhere

Poll Everywhere is an instructional technology tool that allows you to conduct formative assessments, foster student engagement through live polling, and increase the productivity of class discussions by providing an inclusive and easy-to-use discussion platform. We will discuss how to use Poll Everywhere, helpful topics to get started, and more.

We discuss what questions to ask and assignments to implement to promote critical thinking and how to teach critical thinking skills such as discussing various points of view, asking questions, decision making, creativity, and connecting ideas.
