Teaching and Learning
The CITL offers comprehensive support for the design and evaluation of courses. Faculty can work with a trained teaching and learning expert to communicate learning outcomes, create instructional activities, and construct assessments in significant and transformative ways.
Faculty can request for the CITL to conduct a Small Group Instructional Diagnostic for their course. This is an well-established interview tool used to gather information from students about how they are learning. As part of this suite of services, faculty can also request guidance on developing and implementing a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) project for one or more courses. SoTL is a form of inquiry in which faculty closely and critically explore student learning in order to improve their courses and to share their insights more broadly.
