Below, you can find commonly requested data on the university’s governance, payroll and other related items.
The Tennessee Public Records Act allows any Tennessee citizen the right to inspect or obtain copies of public records. Tennessee Tech’s Office of Communication & Marketing handles requests for public records in compliance with the act.
Requests can be made verbally, through electronic mail or through the U.S. Postal Service or other means of physical delivery, and should be as specific as possible.
Certain regulations prohibit providing information deemed confidential, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Clery Act, and other information that may be protected by state and/or federal law(s).
Proof of Tennessee citizenship by presentation of a valid Tennessee driver's license (or alternative acceptable form of ID) is required as a condition to inspect or receive copies of public records.
For questions regarding open records requests, please contact the Public Records Request Coordinator at openrecords@tntech.edu or 931-372-3304.
