Studio Arts
The Bachelor of Science in Studio Arts is intended to reflect a contemporary, wide-ranging, and interdisciplinary art approach, preparing students for numerous potential directions in visual art, craft, design, or other fields of study. The flexible curriculum inherent of the BS program can lead to career development as an artist, in broader career fields, or preparation for advanced study. Every art or design practitioner today must have a capacity to function across the boundaries of existing specializations and the ability to interact effectively in a team involving a range of specialists from a wide range of fields. The Bachelor of Science in Studio Arts provides students with a broad knowledge of a variety of art forms and practices along with academic inquiry in other disciplines to aid in their future career success by developing their ability to navigate the ever-increasing interdisciplinary of today's art career landscape.
