Doctors in Italy
The Doctors in Italy Fellowship Program is a physician-led medical internship experience open to pre-professional students from all over the World. Explore the possibilities of your career in healthcare and experience the Italy-based study abroad opportunity you’ve been dreaming of. A team of outstanding English-speaking physicians, passionate about their work, will help you understand what it means to be a doctor, while you also explore the beauty of Rome and immerse yourself in Italian culture.
Through daily rotations at the hospital, you'll get the chance to observe the work of surgeons and doctors in orthopedics, pediatrics, ob-gyn, dermatology, cardiology, general surgery, vascular surgery, oncology, and many other areas, all in compliance with AAMC guidelines.
There are two ways of experiencing the excitement of the Doctors in Italy program. The first opportunity would be a faculty-led class offered in the Spring where you will travel with two faculty members and a group of students.
The second opportunity is a 2-5 week program where you will travel either individually or with a small group of students in the Summer only.

During this program there will also be time for cultural and leisure activities such as visiting the Vatican, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Spanish steps, and Trivvi fountain.
