Meals on Campus

What does Tennessee Tech have to eat?

A huge cafeteria which is "all you can eat" including a large variety of options, sandwiches, pizza, hot dishes, salads, sides, fruit, drinks and desserts.  We also have separate food court type restaurants like Starbucks, Au Bon Pain, Which Wich, Chick-fil-A, Tu Taco, Papa John's Pizza, and more. We also have several restaurants and a small grocery store in walking distance of campus.  You can visit DINE ON CAMPUS to see the options, hours and meal plans.

Students who live on campus must purchase a meal plan and there are many options of meal plans that students can choose.  There are per-week meal plans and block plans.  Here are the differences in the plans:

Per-Week Meal Plans

For students living in our residence halls there is no better value than the meals per-week option. This option allows you to enjoy a set number of meals each week. You can eat three meals per day in THE CAF in the RUC (Roaden University Center) or use a meal exchange for the other restaurants on campus.

Block Plans

Block Meal Plans are based on a set number of meals each semester. On a Block Meal Plan, meals will carry over from week to week. Each day you can use as many meals as you would like in THE CAF or use a meal exchange option for the other restaurants.  Just remember there are approximately 16 weeks in a semester; you need to make sure your plan will last the whole semester.

Many of our meal plans include Dining Dollars. Dining Dollars are accepted like cash in all campus restaurants. You can use your Dining Dollars to purchase beverages, snacks or even a full meal in the Food Court, Market or Starbucks. Dining Dollars do not carry over from semester to semester or year to year so students need to make sure to use them before the semester ends. Additional Dining Dollars can be added to your account at any time by stopping by the Eagle Card Office in the RUC Room 230.

Exchange students can sign up for a meal plan at the same time you register for your classes on Tech Express. You will not be able to use your card for meals or your meal plan until classes officially start.

Guest Meal Policy: As a meal plan holder you may treat a guest to a meal on Fridays and Saturdays using your meal card as long as you have meals available on your plan and are present with your guest. Guest meals do count toward your three swipes (meals) per day.

For pricing and meal details please visit the campus dining website.
