Bella Ashlock
Celina native, Bella Ashlock, plans to transfer to Tennessee Tech University in fall 2025 from Volunteer State Community College. She has plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Physical Therapy with a minor in business.
“I will be a sophomore coming to Tech,” she said. “I will be changing my major to Pre-PT (Physical Therapy) when I transfer in the fall.”
Ashlock’s desire to transfer to Tech was not on a whim – rather, it was always a part of her academic journey.
“Tech has always been in the plan,” Ashlock continued. “It’s just an hour away from my hometown, and I have many friends and family that attend there as well.”
Tennessee Tech has been a generational milestone for Ashlock and her family.
“Many of my friends and family came to Tech over the years,” said Ashlock, noting that both of her parents received degrees from Tech’s Department of Exercise Science.
As she is currently attending Volunteer State Community College, she is in the midst of the transfer process. She revealed that the process has been smooth so far, and she has utilized her friends and Tech staff to aid her transition.
“I have friends that have transferred to Tech, so I followed their instructions and called Tech a few times,” Ashlock stated. “I got it all set up and ready for this coming fall!”
A big piece of Ashlock’s excitement in transferring to Tech is taking the next step on her educational path. It stems from her passion for her future career as well as fostering new relationships.
“I’m looking forward to meeting new people and starting my journey to become a PT (Physical Therapist),” she explained.
Ashlock looks forward to beginning her time here at Tech. Her goal is to keep an open mind regarding campus involvement and jump into what catches her eye.
“There isn’t really anything I’m planning on doing coming into Tech, but I am open to trying new things if I’m interested.”
