Prohibited Items
You can only take the following items into the testing room:
- your primary ID
- TLC-provided locker key
- materials allowed by your professor or the standardized test vendor
- your cell phone ONLY for an iLearn exam (after you use it for two-factor authentication, your phone is stored in a cabinet during your exam)
- materials for your approved accommodation
The following items are prohibited in the testing room:
- bags, backpacks, briefcases
- belt buckles larger than 2 inches
- bluetooth devices
- calculators, unless allowed by the professor or test vendor
- calculator covers
- cell phones, unless you need it for an iLearn exam's two-factor authentication
- children
- coats, jackets, or other layers like cardigans and flannels
- computers, laptops, tablets
- drinks
- flash drives/jump drives/thumb drives/USB drives
- fitness trackers
- food
- gloves, mittens, fingerless mittens
- hats/head coverings, except those for religious purposes
- headphones/earbuds (we have headphones and disposable earplugs)
- hoodies and shirts with an attached hood
- jewelry larger than 1/4 inch
- keys, except for the TLC-issued locker key
- knives/weapons
- medicine
- MP3 players, iPods
- notes, textbooks, and study materials, unless allowed by the professor or test vendor
- PDAs (personal digital assistants)
- pens and pencils not provided by the TLC
- photographic equipment
- purses
- recording devices
- scarves
- smart glasses (Google, SnapChat, etc.)
- sunglasses
- tissues not provided by the TLC
- tobacco products (Tennessee Tech is a tobacco-free campus)
- wallets
- watches
